From Legos as a kid\, to logos as an adult\, woodwork or web work\, making things is always extremely rewarding and I’m forever addicted to it. \nReceiving a degree in 3D Animation from the Art Institute in Denver\, I was captivated by the idea of transforming a flat image into one with shadows and depth\, allowing the viewer to see into it\, rather than just looking at it. Years later\, after an unfortunate career event in 2023\, and a lengthy development process\, I expanded on that original idea to create something new. By blending various artistic techniques and methodically painting thousands of raise acrylic dots\, I create dramatic images that provide a unique visual experience and the illusion of depth. \nBorn and raised in New Jersey\, with a quick 16-year stop in Colorado\, I continued west and eventually landed in sunny San Diego where I currently reside. When I’m not blowing people’s minds with new art styles\, you’ll find me noodling on guitar\, hiking\, biking\, fooding\, and endlessly thinking. \nI hope the art you see makes you think\, and what you think makes you see.

These diverse environments have influenced his work\, infusing it with a deep sense of place\, movement\, and connection to nature. Johnny’s artistic practice is multifaceted\, with a strong focus on sustainable serigraphy\, photography\, and music. \nHis current project centers on sustainable serigraphs of his abstract wave photographs. Johnny’s photographs capture the raw\, dynamic energy of ocean waves\, abstracted through color\, texture\, and form. These wave-inspired images are then translated\, in collaboration with Hamster Labs (http://www.instagram.com/hamsterlabs) \, into hand-pulled screenprints\, blending the natural world with the tactile process of printmaking. Sustainability is a core principle in Johnny’s work: he uses non-toxic inks and Hemp recycled cotton papers to create prints that reflect his commitment to environmental responsibility while delivering visually striking artwork. \nIn addition to his visual art\, Johnny is also exploring the evolving relationship between music and the digital age. As attention spans shorten in an increasingly fast-paced world\, Johnny is on a quest to align his music with this shift. He’s experimenting with shorter\, more impactful compositions\, aiming to create pieces that resonate with today’s audience while staying true to his artistic roots. This fusion of art and sound reflects his broader interest in creating work that is both innovative and deeply connected to the rhythms of the natural world. \nJohnny’s work can be found in boutique collectives and private collections\, with his evolving practice continuing to gain recognition in the realms of both visual art and music. My name is Nathan\, I’m the sole artist responsible for this channel. I wanted to reintroduce myself. ❤️ \nI’m from San Diego originally\, and I still call this place home. My wife Rosie and I live with my daughter Amy and our two dogs Maverick & Lexi in Oceanside. \nI first took photography in high school (composition and darkroom development) which was an “aha” moment for me\, creatively. I never stopped since. \nDuring the Covid pandemic lockdown I pushed myself to do an art piece per day. The one lesson I learned from this was to just create\, and to not think about the end result. To work on the piece until it “felt finished”. \nOut of that process came three distinct mediums: my photography (color and monochrome)\, digital art\, and abstract photographic blends. \nOver the past few years I’ve had galleries at Culture Brewing\, Helia Beer\, pop ups at Vigilante Coffee\, spotlights in the Coast News. Last month I was nominated for an Artist award at the Oceanside International Film Festival (OIFF). \nMy photography is done with a combination of lenses\, mostly a 24-105 F4 on my Canon 5D MKii. My artwork is primarily done in Procreate using my Apple Pencil 2. I do color grading and final detailing in Adobe Lightroom. \nPrints of my work are available at www.Coastal-Chroma.com
