SUMMARY:Never Ending Story
DESCRIPTION:The Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation was proud to participate in this year’s Pride Event in Oceanside\, celebrating creativity\, community\, and inclusion alongside so many wonderful local organizations and residents. OCAF hosted a tent space where visitors were invited to engage with the arts in a fun and interactive way\, helping create a welcoming environment that encouraged people of all ages to stop by\, connect\, and contribute. \nOne of the highlights of OCAF’s booth was an activity called “The Never Ending Story.” A long piece of paper was set out for guests\, and anyone walking by could add a line of text to continue a spontaneous\, collaborative story. Each contribution added a new voice\, a new direction\, and a little bit of surprise\, turning the activity into a shared creative experience that reflected the spirit of the event itself — open\, expressive\, and community-driven. \nAS THE SUN RISES OVER THE OCEANSIDE PRIDE FESTIVAL\, I ….\nFollowed the light through the palms\, between the waking homes …\nA burble of sound came from the distance …\nIt was then that I looked over there and saw the …\nhuge dragon hugging people and …\nslobbering all over herself (smiling) because …\nthey were filled full of Pride and went for a journey to …\nfind themselves and …\nflew up into the beautiful sky filled with warm rain and a double rainbow. They\ncould hear the slightest sound of magnificent music …\nand the first song was …\nHappy Birthday and right then a helicopter landed and out hopped a bunny rabbit\nwho said …\n“HAPPY PRIDE!” Then a giant\, loud\, awesome …\nElephant appeared reminding us we belong as much as flowers do. When …\na loud song started playing …\nand I began to dance to the beautiful melody. I felt …\nwonderful and it made everyone cry …\nfor the stars shone brightly that night.\nEvery constellation danced together in the sky …\nand there was astrology and astrocartgraphy …\npromising a wonderful future full of …\npeaceful antemplative and buckets of sunshine but …\nalso moments of …\n?__________ … \nTo really progress as a society\, it is important we …\nlove one another even when we don’t like them…\neach individual should start with …\nLOVE and kindness …\nWhile being human …\nExpressing all of their uniqueness with no judgement while …\nWidening their concept of humanity – being human. Decolonize out thinking –\nwe can move closer to mother earth and all living beings …\nHuman beings\, we are all the same\, raised with love for others.
