In the latest round of rankings, OCAF achieved remarkable success, earning recognition as:
-
#1 in the State of California
-
#1 in the Block Category
-
#3 in the Nation
These results reflect the incredible passion, collaboration, and community engagement that define Oceanside’s thriving arts and culture scene. The strong show of support from residents, partners, and local organizations demonstrates the city’s shared commitment to expanding access to the arts and celebrating live music in all its forms.
About the Levitt Foundation Grant Concert Series
The Levitt AMP Oceanside Grant Awards are designed to activate underused public spaces and strengthen communities through the power of free, live music. Each selected city receives matching funds to present a ten-week outdoor concert series featuring diverse artists and genres. Advancing to the third round brings OCAF one step closer to securing this grant for Oceanside, which would allow the community to enjoy an exciting new concert series in a public space.
A Community Effort
OCAF’s success in reaching this stage is a testament to the collective efforts of countless individuals and organizations who rallied behind the cause. The Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who voted, shared information, and encouraged participation throughout the campaign.
OCAF also wishes to recognize its dedicated community partners whose collaboration made this achievement possible:
-
Oceanside Public Library
-
The Six String Society
-
KOCT (Oceanside Community Television)
-
City of Oceanside
-
Oceanside Parks & Recreation
Together, these partners have played an essential role in fostering creativity, supporting live performance, and enriching the cultural life of Oceanside.
Looking Ahead
As OCAF moves forward into Round 3, the organization remains focused on its mission to promote and support the arts in all forms. Securing the Levitt Foundation Grant would create new opportunities for local artists, attract visitors to the downtown area, and provide residents with a welcoming space to gather and enjoy live performances.
The Foundation encourages the community to continue its enthusiastic support by spreading the word and participating in upcoming voting opportunities. With continued unity and passion, Oceanside has the chance to become one of the next Levitt AMP cities — bringing even more music, energy, and creativity to our vibrant coastal community.
