Write On, Oceanside! is an annual literary festival which began in 2010, to celebrate and inspire local authors. This year’s 11th celebration will be virtual and will take place on January 14, 2021.

Event organizers Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation, and the Oceanside Public Library  with the support of  Friends of the Oceanside Public Library and are pleased that “Write On, Oceanside!” has become popular with the community’s talented authors.  Over the past few years it has grown into one of the largest literary fairs in the county.

NEVER ENDING STORY

Story telling is the basis of most writing.  We want you to help us create the longest, most fantastical story.  Read what has been already submitted and then let your imagination soar!  No age limit, but Remember:  This is a Family Event.

Two young boys in a small sail boat saw the creature rise out the water right next to them. They quickly offered it a slice of the pizza they’d brought along for their afternoon of sailing around the harbor. Opening it’s imposing jaws, the monstrous creature delicately took the pizza slice between its razor sharp teeth and swallowed. It then grabbed the rest of the pizza and ate the box as well. The boys shouted for help, but the sea monster didn’t want to eat the boys. It wanted more pizza!….
